POISON CENTRES

According to article 45 and annex VII of CLP Regulation, the notification to the Poison Centres is mandatory to stay on the market for hazardous mixtures classified for health or physical hazards.

The Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) must be generated for the products and be printed on the labels and on the Material Safety Data Sheet from January 2021 according to Regulation (EU) 2020/878.

The notification process will be harmonized across the European Union by using the Poison Centre Notification (PCN) format launched by ECHA.

Regardless of the centralization of the notification to the national Poison Centres, some Member States will continue to require specific information on an annual basis according to their national legislations. Therefore, the PCN format will not be enough for commercialising in all EU countries.
